Under my leadership as superintendent and principal, the academic program of studies at The Greenspire School was comprehensively reimagined with implementation across all grade levels. Our restructuring efforts reversed declining enrollment, stabilized district finances and allowed for expansion through grade 12.

Through the establishment of a board-level curriculum committee and staff-based leadership council, a strategic plan was adopted in 2015 to provide uniform professional development in instructional practices for all certified staff members, restructure the master schedule, implement common assessments and implement tiered systems of support for struggling students.

​Stabilizing and building enrollment allowed Greenspire to arrest a fiscal deficit, increase salaries to reduce staff turnover and invest in critical teaching and learning resources for our students.

My administration, with board support, created independent in-house special education services for our students, eliminating the need for direct-ISD support. Greenspire continues to attract a high percentage of students receiving special services under this model which is both highly effective and cost-efficient.

 

Attaining our strategic goals during my tenure not only led to full enrollment and robust fiscal health but has also allowed the school to expand through 12th grade via the new Greenspire High School.
